(Band bio taken from: http://www.girls-gone-mild.com)
How is it that four women from VERY different backgrounds decided to form a band? Well, it’s an intricate and rousing story (but we don’t have room to tell it here… sorry, but they’ll be happy to tell you at a show!) What we CAN say is that Mary Ramsey, Susan Rozler, Alison Pipitone, and Theresa Quinn collectively have more than 120 years of music experience (an amazing statistic since they are all exactly 29 years old). They’ve been on the road, in theatres, at festivals, in churches, in bars, in gardens, and all over the US and Europe.
The Girls Gone Mild repertoire is an eclectic mix of folk, rock, blues, a smidgeon of jazz, and deep album cuts from some of their favorite artists (artists like Neil Young, Nina Simone, Fats Domino, Delbert McClinton, Joni Mitchell, Koko Taylor, Fountains of Wayne, Velvet Underground, Stevie Wonder, Bob Dylan, Abba, Simon and Garfunkel and on and on…..)
